Well my dry spell just seems to keep on going. My last 8 fishing sessions have seen nothing hit the bank in my swim and not much hitting the bank target species wise for my angling partners either. I'm guessing the weather has not been the best and has messed up quite a few waters over the start of the summer. Thank god i'm doing a fishing session a runs water soon. Whats the longest you guys have blanked for?
I'll set the ball rolling with 6 months and only 1 take which I lost

a month, last december ooh!! talk about moody!
must admit this summer has been weird fishing using winter tactics, had a few blanks but overall not too bad.
last night made up for the hard weather, i had a cracking double weighed in at 10lb. on the dot.
it was worth a few blanks.

I fished Pebley Reservoir near Killamarsh 'cos I was told it held numbers of good roach. They were half right, the roach went over 2lbs but exceptionally difficult to catch 'cos of the weedy bottom. 12 sessions over 6 weeks without a bite. Nearly lost the faith. _________________ damo

Never had a very long run of blanks, but I'm certainly having a poor season so far. Started okay with a few double figure carp in the spring, but since then I've only had a few smaller carp from what are usually runs waters. I've only had a couple of sessions on my usual club waters and the fishing has been pretty poor. When I have connected with decent fish I've suffered a few hook pulls. I've also had a run of about 6 blanks barbel fishing on the Tees. _________________ Bill

Been on my hols for a week in Somerset then had a few days off taking my son and nephew out. managed a blank on the Tees Sunday night and had a fairly poor day at Brafferton Carp Fishery on Wednesday. To be fair it was too hot and sunny and mosy of the carp were basking on the top. Only managed one run and the bugger fell off. Got bored and caught a load of roach and 4 small carp on the float in the end. _________________ Bill
