I was at a family wedding last night so no playing out for me this weekend, just a cloudy, thick head today!
Anyone else done a bit?
Let us know how you got on if so

Had a sesh on the 'flask' today. Caught a few roach but got pestered most of the day by small ones resulting in loads of missed bites. It was really cold this afternoon but when I arrived at 7.30am it was flat calm and didn't inspire me at all. And so it proved.
The pike have started to get ready for spawning with jacks active in the marginal grasses and having spoken to the baliff (a different one) the bream and roach may be on their way towards the neck end to spawn. The big girls may be following them for a last minute snack before spawning.
For this time of the year the water is still really cold and with northerly winds and rain forecast nothing much is going to change this week.
I feel some mild weather is needed to get the fish moving and feeding and kick start some catches. _________________ damo

Always a chance, even if its a slim one.
With the weather prospects as they are it would probably be a struggle where ever we go with the exception of a commercial puddle But i'd rather drink the lake dry than fish it. _________________ damo

Will be there regardless. Still more chance of catching one there than sat at home on the sofa.
Might be worth venturing further up the neck end. Pikers either side of me (2 with 4 rods each and looked capable of catching) had nothing all day even though a few jacks did show early doors in the margins. They have to be somewhere. _________________ damo
