My PB is about 115lbs from Ginestar on the River Ebro northern Spain (Catalonia) caught it 1st cast useing a Carp of about 2 lbs for bait!! the tackle was more like what you would use for wreck fishing out at sea! abu ambassador multiplier 200lb braid mainline,a float that was awsome in size,2 single owner catfish hooks one was a 2/0 the other a 8/0 and some draw cord from me mates tracksuit bottoms for a leeder,they sometimes can chew through even 200lb braid so thats why drawcord, sorry no photos some gadgy a morrocan i think nicked the camera Sad

I have not caught any massive cats from the UK, my biggest is 35lb 8oz caught whilst carp fishing.

About ten years ago Grafton Mere had two small brown bullhead catfish in there, this was before the wels were introduced. My Dad managed to catch one and it weighed 14oz. Sounds tiny I know, but I think the british record is only about a pound.
