Game fish hope they count in what seems to be a course fishing forum.

my biggest Salmon came from the river Tees back in the 80s in February when you could take spring fish, bear in mind the Tees was grossly polluted in the estuary as far as Stockton on Tees my home town,i just got the earge one afternoon to go to Brocken Scar near Darlington only to find the river in fine order so i sat and watched the dam,you could legaly fish near the dam back then, the only month you couldnt was october, the laws have been changed since then no fishing anytime of the year, also the fish used to hold up better because of the inadequate fish pass, they was a large gravel bar, and when the river had extra water this is where the fish held as the flow from the dam was to strong,so after watching for a while i decided to give it a go,altogether i caught 12 Salmon the smallest was 18lbs and the biggest was just a touch over 30lbs i had 1 just under 30lbs aswell, also many good fish in the 20s,ive never had a day like that since, even when fishing top Salmon rivers never mind the Tees.

My PB Sea Trout is about 21lbs from the River Wear at Durham in August when they are thick in the river, the Wear is famous for its large strain of Sea Trout,10 lb fish aint uncommon, and ive seen the record been broken a few times but the said anglers wouldnt go for a claim, reason(s) 1st one or two of the fish were foul hooked,2nd the lads who fish Durham dont like publicity,i dont know how they kept it quiet for so long to be honest.

Another form of migratory Trout that inhabits the Wear is Bull Trout or Slob Trout,a brown Trout gone to sea or the Estuary then back up river to spawn again my Pb is about 18lbs for this subspecies of salmo trutta.

my pb brookie is about 3lbs havent caught a lot of em.

my Pb brown Trout wild fish that is was 7lb from my local beck whilst getting minnows for Pike fishing, ive only ever had two Trout from the said beck in 30 years, but no many people who seem to bag up on them-must be doing something wrong Sad
