Hi all!
Back on the scene after some time away (foolishly!) Dusting off the old Pike rods and planning to throw myself back into it as soon as I can get me act together! The plan is to fish the Yorkshire Rivers mainly although not set in stone but then come the floods and that`ll be spanners to that. So, I`m after a back up plan somewhere that`ll be not too effected by flooding if at all, any ideas or anyone willing to share/swap info?
used to fish several but lost touch on these, which is a shame as we put alot of effort into those and would be interested if any of these are still fishing particularly Damflask (which owes me big!-bloody place!) Wintersett, Hollingworth, Ulley or anywhere else w.Yorks- but not scared of a drive.
Also usual fishing buddy has decided to grow some twins inside his missus (what was he thinkin?!) so if anyone up for some socials or sharing transport (live in Bingley) PM me

Fairview at Cawood has Pike to over 30lb (best to go when it's freezing as this is mainly a Carp venue so you need to ensure its not going to be rammed with Carpers) Live baiting allowed and encouraged.
Woodalls pond at newport mid 20's Deads only no plugs etc
Emmotland Ponds 30 plus. Pond 2 deads only.
Horseshoe pond Whitley Bridge high 20's. Deads only.
These are the one's that I'd go to if I can't get on a river or drain. Woodalls would be my first choice for a near guaranteed catch. If you want any more info post back up.
You can find directions to all of these venues on our venues map with the exception of Horseshoe which i'll add later today. NSA Venues

I used to fish Pebley Reservoir (just of jct 30 M1). Its about 25 acres with good parking. I haven't been for a while since I moved but it is cracking for them with a 30 out in the past and lots a doubles. Lots of bottom weed so pop-em up.
If you go fish into the wind (unless its a real biter). Either off the dam wall or the roadside pegs. _________________ damo

Killington lake anyone?
Its up near Cumbria you can see it from the M6 its massive and run as trout water through the warmer months and I think somewhat forgotten with most of the the locals heading for Windermere etc. can only get info from controlling clubs site which could be a bit biased!
Have access to boat with all the trimmings too if waters allow it

nice one, do you know about tickets, catches etc?
Fished it a few years ago, heard it was day ticket on the bank job, but got there and fished half a day but got beaten by the weed-no bailiff though.
All these plans, only the beast decides today is the day to get a holiday booked-bless her! that`ll be no new Pike rods this year then!
Wind, rain on the Ure in November or Tarpon on Cuban flats? didn`t take much arm twisting, I have the breaking strain of a KitKat!

Most lads recon it's free as they fish week in week out with no sign of a bailiff. Tarpon/Pike ermmmm I think i'll go for the Tarpon. _________________ I can see NSA staff getting a bitch slapping from the boss for pissing about with my signature!

One of the things I like in a Pike water is size-I think the best Pike waters need to be BIG! the bigger the better in fact going on the old addage that pike thrive on neglect.
To me, one of the best things about winter piking is being out in wild weather and sat on the unkown of a big water.
Over the next few months as well as going local, I`m planning on doing a bit in the Lakes (I`ll even blag the old fellers boat for a few sessions) weekend trips getting some motor pike in the Scottish lochs (leads required including digs if anyone is willing to help!?) I also have good friends close to the broads and the fens, would be shame not use this!
This is an open invite by the way
any ideas or anyone wanting to make one in, let me know.

My uncle has a farm just outside of inverness at a place called Dalnavie. I'm sure he has fishing rights on the loch on his land he also has some holiday cottages on his farm. I'll make some enquiries
