I've asked this question before on many forums and it either gets replied to with sandwiches or soup. But they were the "Other" forums who fish like WKD does "around a puddle with a keep net" on Saturdays & Sundays for a few hours.
When it comes to long stay fishing (over a 48 hour sesh) it's a bit of a mare deciding what snap we should take to the bank. My session bag keeps the good old breakfast gear like bacon and sausage good for about 3 days frozen and with ice blocks but breakfast is just one meal for the day. Eggs aren't a problem unless you get them in the sun and will do a week easily but what good are eggs with no bacon?.
Then comes lunchtime! Lunch could be just a sandwich but what do you put in it after 2 days on the bank? Cold cooked food don't last too long
Teatime.......oh dear fire up the disposable BBQ and away we go............but all of the meat has gone off........sod it lets have a pot noodle.
So the question is. What should you take in your session bag and what tips and fancy bankside cooking tips do you have to make plain old bacon into a meal fit for a king.

i always take sausage n smash for my tea wi a good helping of the finest ketchup on top
or take the wok along wi a nice stir fry and a jar of hoi sin sauce
a good tip for ya instead of using ice blocks buy a carton of fresh orange or pineapple juice etc and chuck it in the freezer for a couple of days then when ya go dangling youve got a nice ice block that you can drink the next day

A nice fat carp, if you catch it early on in the sesh it will last right though!
A bit like christmas turkey, you start with whole thing, then its carp sarnies with mayo the second day and carp curry from then on.
Carp is tasty, for those who have never tried it, tastes a bit like barbel
