Hello guys,

My name is Steve and as my username suggests I come from the land of the Shandy Drinkers. I am in the Army and have just been posted T'North and am struggling to find a water for me to target while I'm here. I am a dedicated experienced speciman Carp angler (not really interested in commercial type fisheries) and I'm looking for a syndicate/club water within 1 1/2 hours drive from Harrogate. Any suggestions will be warmly welcomed.

Many Thanks
Steve

welcome to the north land of real men lol, you could have a look into getting the leeds book around think its £40 gives yo access to knotford lagoon, catterick complex and wintersett complex all these can be night fished by purchasing a night ticket around 40 quid but thats per water, not too sure how long you'd have to wait for a syndicate place, bradford no1 also have a couple of carp waters but i'm not sure about prices etc, hull and district have some pretty good waters think that works out at £52 after joining fee but that gives you chance of a proper 40 then theres wakefield ac £25 3 main carp waters no night fishing allowed though.

depends what your after dont expext the same amount of big uns up here as darn sarf its enjoyable fishing but you'll really learn how much to appreciate a 30 Wink
