Is any one into Kayak fishing or had a dabble at it?
It is something I`ve fancied for a while and am looking into it for this summers bass attack off the welsh coast (you need them there to escape the taffys!)
As you know I do like the more eccentric routes to my fish and I do love my Bass, so it looks perfect for me!
if anyone fancies looking into it-and does look like fun! have a nosey here http://www.anglersafloat.co.uk/index.html
up for it anyone?

seen people set up there infalatable kayaks in leeds town centre when i've been on the river only for a headline in the paper 2 days later to read emergency search for capsized, 1 of the 2 had run into trouble at twaite mill weir and got caught in the rolling turblulence becoming trapped., marbe used sensibly it could be good fun but think i'll stick on firm ground _________________ Kiss my spreader block!!!!!!!!!!

Just found out the brother-in-law has a kayak for when he goes on holiday down to Cornwall. Cost him a couple of hundred quid I think. Next time I go over I will take a look at it.
He holidays in the Dom Rep this year and the excess baggage charge would be stupid! _________________ damo

Me and `er used to have two white-water class inflatable kayaks by Sevylor but were a bind with the inflating-deflating and carriage-did her head right in so we sold them on ebay(for profit too!)
I have been looking at a canadian (Old town predator 133) for sometime and lusting after it as it designed for fishing in mind- however not in the sea which is where i want to use it the most.
I am a member of the Bass Anglers Sportfishing Society and kayak fishing is a big thing amongst other members and they`ve been doing it in the states for years.............. I reckon it could be alot of fun for predator angling with the lure and fly.
lots of companies over here now do lots of "fishing specific" sit-on-top kayaks with all the accessories so its all very tempting (and shouldn`t get in the way of buying a pike fishing boat later too much either!! )
I`m gonna look into this further I think.
To be continued..........................(maybe!)

Stop looking into it right now then, the more you get into the more appealing it becomes!
some of the pics I`ve seen even in the UK as close as yorkshire and vids I`ve seen on youtube will blow your mind!!
only a matter of time before i`m taming massive scaley monsters on one!
or it could all go wrong
Seriously, there seems to be a good sized community of kayakers around these parts launching of the east coast and having a ball and with the lakes so close to me too..........................

I've tried to avoid this topic like the plague. Kayaks are the devils tool and may you all be infested with roach and slimy bream in your swims from this day forth.
Shit the devil had me then.
PLAY BOATS ARE THE FUTURE!
I only spent 4 days in Wales white water Play Boating and I was hooked and wanted to splash my wad on all the gear to get my own. Wife was not impressed. She thinks I was splashing my wad on sheep whilst being spanked with dried nettles in the woods
Besides all of the fun on the water leaves you more skint than a skint thing. Stay away from Kayaks & Canoes & Rafts.
What's that website address again for Play boats & Kayaks?????????????? _________________ I can see NSA staff getting a bitch slapping from the boss for pissing about with my signature!

Marc
Are you sure we aren't related? My missus is sick of hearing about "bloody kayaks"! To be honest I have joined virtually every kayaking forum there is and visited every site where they are sold over the past few weeks. She tells me that she does not want to look at another kayak brochure, ever! She has got to the point where she is almost begging me to have done with it and just buy one. Happy days.
One of the main attractions to kayak fishing is being able to get to areas that are unfishable from the bank. What monsters might be lurking under the willow which is only accessible from a kayak? Being able to get to secluded areas where there are no kids messing about or people throwing sticks into the water for their dogs will be great. Do I hear credit cards running for cover? Go on.......go on........
Cheers, Ken
