On the verge of purchasing two of the above for just shy of 90 quid. So if anyone knows a good reason not too then speak now......

Won't use them enough to warrant spending much more and my 5010's are still going strong despite years of rough treatment. Just need something with a bit more distance.

A review may follow (if there any good so I don't look a total plonker)

Scrap that, have gone for emblem pro's in the 5000 model instead.

Why, I don't know as my 5010's serve me really well.

Review to follow.

big thumbs up for emblem pro's damo i've got them in 5500's had em for about 4yrs and still nothing wrong with em other than the odd paint chip. ya made a better choise anyway as the bail arm on emcast evo is made from monkey metal and bends like soft spaghetti, get em spooled up with some good quality line and bombs away.

i can highly recommend suffix tritanium either standard (white) or zoom which has a peachy/pink colour its a surf casting line its extremely limp excellent for casting pretty cheap as well about £8 for 1000+ yds (standard), however i got an extremely large spool of zoom (4500m) for a bargain price of £15 as the shop was trying to clear its stock. People must think i'm odd when they see me with pink line on pressured carp waters but i've not notice it affect my catch rate.

sorry for going off topic but no point buying good reals and filling em wi crap line me and daiwa sensor dont get on far too much memory in it with a tendancy to coil up after a few sessions

I've just spooled by 5010's up with 8lb sensor for those bream (i will get out after them one day!!) and have used it for years but only in 6 and 8lb. I like it and have little trouble with it and 'cos its cheap you don't cry if you change it regulary.

However i see what you are saying. Wouldn't dare use it above 8lb.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't much experience with heavier lines but do have some Hahn Topline in 14 and 16lb. Its nice and limp and used the 14lb strain when i used to fish the Teme and Severn in flood. You could pull a sack of spuds through a barbed wire factory with it.

Will keep my eye out for the Suffix line.
