sounds like one solution!

Is this place free of the above mentioned Jerkit ?

The angling asbos Damo and I saw on Sunday put us right off a venue we planned putting some time in.

Was amusing though in one way, with the standard loserwear-pants in socks/reebok classics etc, chav brands and accessories-L&B`s, can`o`stella, kids etc. But also half clad in realtree (chavoflage?) but total losers with all the attitude, not what you want to see!

I hate chavs! Banging Head

Forgot to mention that after you left someone rode their motorbike, yes you read it right - motorbike, down the dam wall to park it near the overflow. Park it up then walk down to the 'others'. What a total Jerkit

If it wasn't for what I saw on Sunday I would have taken the plunge and got a ticket next week. Thoughts then raced through my mind on what it will be like in the summer......stella, bare chests, burbury caps, ill-fitting shorts, mobiel phones playing hardcore shite, how far can you cast competitons need I say more.

Would this be a club water not too far from you (about 5.2m as the crow flies)on other side of the M1?

If it is I have heard mixed things about this place although not all bad.

The Chav thing is a phenomenon you just can`t escape I think, its a shame but you can`t cull `em!

Here's a reply to post that i posted on the Leeds web site about some of their waters.

Knotford is a "spessy" water noted mainly for carp and tench, but it can produce just about anything - I've even had grayling and dace there in the past, that probably found their way in from the adjacent River Wharfe. Bites are usually hard earned but the rewards are there if big fish angling is your thing.

Sandwath has also had all sorts stocked over the years, but tench are one of the favourite targets, with early mornings and evenings usually the most productive. The fishing will improve when the weather warms up later in the spring. It remains to be seen what impact the recently stocked toy carp will have.

Wintersett and Cold Heindley have been neglected recently and there are rumours of fish theft. Cold Heindley used to be noted for bream, roach and good pike. Wintersett is another "spessy" water noted for big roach, bream, tench and carp.

I don't have much knowledge of the other stillwaters, but several forum users seem to rate Blacker Dam for bags of roach.

Knotford I have been many times but only fished it a couple-used to a a funny place with a hardcore of regulars and most of the crap angling lads on the circuit from the leeds & bradford areas would frequent it.
Used to be the carp lads who dominated it and it did get busy, however it used to throw out some good tench and there were other species in there which went to good sizes.
My problem, unfortunately I could not get over my prejudices over certain groups who fished it who could spoil a day there. This was a good while ago and alot has changed, I`ll go for a nosey next time I visit the old feller though and I`ll ask him

Your right Marc, the chav phenomenom is widespread and difficult to get away from. A sad reflection on society and the way the country on a whole is going.

Only way to get away from it is to fish exclusive syndicates (still no gaurantee) or have your own place. Would love that - telling the scroats to f@*k off.

I think that ' perfect water' will be nigh on impossible to find around here. Its easier down in the midlands say, where gravel pits are numerous and theres loads of commercials acting like magnets to the feckless and desolute.

Sunday should be renamed as 'Chavday'.

You echo what damo and I said on sunday.
I`ll give up my fly only syndicate if I could find a good coarse/big fish syndicate water around here!
Elitist it may be but hell, we work too hard thru the week to let losers like this ruin your R&R time
