When doing some long stay fishing i.e. over 2 days what grubb do you recommend goes in the sesssion bag and for the perishable items like bacon sausage etc. how's best to store them. Do you have any tips for some gourmet bankside cooking?
My personnal list could go on for an age but my No'1 must have is pot noodles for the quick snack.
What goes in your bag?

| im quite new to coarse angling and have maily concentrated on river fishing this winter in search of barbel. i havent got a a bivvy or brolly or bite alarms yet but one essential bit of kit i carry with me, is me little gas stove for constant supply of brews and cuppa soups. however, i did have the pleasure of fishing with a bloke who was bivved up on the river who let me share a peg with him, i watched me isotope all nite he slept most of it but in the morning i could smell something good, then this guy came over with a bacon butty for us, now, that was heaven, sat on river in the early morning sunshine bacon butty and brew in hand. bacon is on the list when i get bivved up on the commercials this summer and i suppose a coolbox or cool store bait bag will do to keep it from cooking itself in the bivvey.

Recently i've discovered that pasta and pasta sauce is a lifesaver. If you can burn a pan of water then this option is not for you
Simple spiral pasta and a cheap white pasta sauce is the dogs. Heat up your sauce first. Then boil your pasta till finished. Return your sauce to the stove while the pasta drains and everything is cooked at the same time. Sod pouring the whole lot onto a plate just add the sauce to the pan with your pasta in it and enjoy.
