I know its a bit of a long shot but does any one on here know a Ben Potter or have any contact details for him.
All i know is he fishes for carp around the north yorks area and i would like to talk to him about a private lake he is fishing.

no offence intended but asking for details for a private lake on your first post probably won't get you many responses. The members at NSA predominantly fish the lesser known waters/stretches. If you need info on this water you will probably need to put some time in on the site first and get to know a few members who may or may not put you onto the venue/person you are enquiring about.
I'm sure if you know this guy you asked about well enough he'd give you the venue name too. Remember this site and it's members generally operate on a "you scratch my back and i'll scratch yours' " basis. Specific venue locations on rivers and lake names are generally passed on via polite PM's to members unless the venue is well known.
Put some time in on the site and post the venue name if you can and i'm sure someone will help. But don't expect miracles.

Hi giles , i fish the private lake concerned but have never seen him on there before.
I have seen some pics of him and the fish he caught and recocnised the back ground straight away.
He is field testsing some bait on the water and just wanted a general chat about the place with him as i think he has only just joined this year.
Maybe i should have made my post a bit clearer .
The stocking off the place is a fairly unknown quantity and would just like to keep up to date on things.
If any one does know him then would you ask him to pm me on here or email me i don't want all the details of his fishing and catch's and i am not expecting him to put anything on a general forum as we would both be chancing our membership to the water.
