Keep worshipping the sun gods and dont mention rain inducing practices such as mowing the lawn or suggesting a barbecue 
Unfortunately with my life being governed by the "Ministry of Houshold Affairs" (The wife) i've not been granted a weekend fishing pass 
But instead got the less than palatable "DIY and you must come to my mates birthday party" ticket 
So sod it i'm going fishing after work then this week. Either one roding for Carp off the top or if the rivers drop a bit an evening Barbel bashing
