One of our sites (NCFF) that we link to is having a charity raffle for a child that has been unfortunate enough to contract meningitis. He is now on the recovery but needs some help and i'm sureany funds we can raise on NSA will be appreciated by Elliotts family.

| Hi, as you may have seen on NCFF we are holding a junior carp school and raffle this weekend, all proceeds from the event are going to a VERY worthy cause to help the three year old nephew of well known Yorkshire carper Steve Blow and his better half Lizzy. Elliot contracted meningitis when he was very very young but he battled through and is on the road to recovery and hopefully re-starting his life, but he needs your help. Any money we raise is going to be used so that Elliot can go to London and have the intensive therapy he needs to be able to walk and speach therapy so he can learn to talk. He also needs many other things to help him and we need to do everything we can to help. We've recieved some great support and have managed to make the carp school totaly free for the kids to take part, and some big name anglers have agreed to help as instructors. There will be a raffle on Saturday and we have some amazing prizes up for grabs, some of the main prizes include several week long french carping trips for two people, a weeks carp fishing on the River Ebro in Spain, three Greys Prodigy Rods, lots of different 48 hour sessions on venues around the country, and lots of great tackle and bait prizes, we have around 30 prizes up for grabs in total and all of them are well worth winning. Tickets are available from Eric's Angling Centre, or from "lil" Steve Carrie at Fairview Lake near Selby and also available online via NCFF, we can accept paypal or postal payments, you can also pop down to Newbridge Lake at Burstwick in East Yorkshire at the weekend and buy some in person and see what the event is all about. Tickets are £1 each and there is no limit to how many you can buy, please donate as much as you can because we really can change Elliots life forever with your support. |
The prizes are secondary to the cause and I hope you will buy one anyway. For those of you that can sell some tickets on please follow the link below too.

Hi Guys, Im helping organise the event and I just want to say that ANY donations you can make will be so very much appreciated, we really can make a difference here. In return for your donations you stand a good chance of winning some amazing prizes, the prize list is still growing all the time, we now have 3 week long french carping holidays 2 of which are for 2 people, a week on the river ebro in spain, a years membership to the Mid Kent Fisheries waters, top quallity tackle prizes including an Aqua bivvy and a set of 3 greys rods and loads and loads of other stuff. Hopefully we can set the youngsters on the right road to a life of great angling and help Elliot out in the process too.
