There has been much talk of socials/get-togethers lately but they have not really come off aside from WKD, Giles and myself getting out a couple of times.
I know we are all pretty busy, but is this an idea that people are interested in?
Is it worth setting something up for something regularly (i.e. monthly) that people can suggest perhaps a local water or somewhere a bit more exclusive that could be booked on?
Let me know what we think and if its a goer we can then get the ball rolling and decide how we should do it.
Personally I think its a good idea, even peple who can`t get out much (Breeders!) can get quality days out on the rare times they get a pass-out.
THIS IS OPEN TO EVERYONE NSA MEMBER and not just a clique of regular posters.
P.S.
I will be happy to get the ball rolling IF everyone is happy with this and I get help and suggestions/info of venues and contacts!

I will defo be up for a social. Either midweek (day off - yipeeeeeee) or a Sunday. Can do some Saturdays.
As for venues, being new to the NW area, I don't have much of a clue. _________________ damo

My work is still a little patchy so I`m very much hoping to play out for some Pike on the rivers before they close, this will probably mean midweek if poss. But also I`ve done OK in the past during march-april on stillwaters and hopefully have a stab at it again this yr, anyone allowed out for either?
Venues TBC, would need to be day ticket available

May be best if I call you as soon as I know whats happening WKD, we can get something sorted asap, could be as soon as tomorrow!
Sunday could be good for me, perhaps on the Leeds stretches on the Ouse (Aldwark, Newton, Linton, Nidd mouth?) go and play with some lures and look for somewhere to soak some deads the following midweek?
I think these are ticket stretches but will need to check. All welcome-even WKD, but no poles, keepnets, boxes on scaffolding or excuses on why you can`t catch jack s**t!

And this would be?
Mothers day as an excuse is just lame! grow yourself some testicles man and tell your women folk that Hallmark sponsored "holidays" that mean jack shit come at least second to having a good time with your mates and catching a few fish!! Seriously, do you get everything dropped for Son-day or Son-in-law day? does your mother-in-law cancel her broomstick ride in the country or a kitten drowning session because you want to go out for lunch on some b*ll*cks made up day?
Didn`t think so!!

The weather seems to have totally buggered up my plans for a sesh after the perch. The pond I fish is in a valley and the fave peg is a right facer and iin high winds would be a bloody nightmare.
Marc, if you fancy chucking out a few deads on Sunday then I'm up for it. Have brolly and willing to travel.

if it hadnt of been for mothers day we could of gone and soaked some deads at wintersett as this wind will be pushing straight over the top of the dam wall so could get out of it, also ideal for a drifter nice good wnw or thats what was blowing earlier today anyway
you could meet damo halfway marc and take him on flask _________________ Kiss my spreader block!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think he`s man enough for THE FLASK!?
I`m not sure if i am these days!
interesting idea though, if its just you and I damo theres Jumbles out your way and I went past the other water we spoke about over the weekend, only 50+ mile from mine but tickets could be a prob.
gotta work tomorrow A.M. I`ll have a think and see what I can come up with.
Theres always Pebley too, and does anyone know the score with ulley as it has been shut for an age after the floods and would be nice to get on there as soon as it opens, nice snappers in there!
