hi all just an idea but what about a social fish in somewhere when the weather picks up later in in the summer, possibly a non serious specimen hunt on a river or commercial somewhere. most species caught and biggest ect maybe a day and night session. all chip in towards a novelty price eg a crappy tin cup and a wooden spoon and some grub maybe a shandy Wink

cheers
eric

Good idea Whattablanka, most of the usual suspects will be up for that one. Any venues in mind? Crappy prizes always generate a laugh and usually generate the most competition for some reason. Feel free to run with the ball on this one!

Bring on the specimen hunt!

I'll be up for a gathering. Will offer some assistance in organising if needed.

any suggestions on venues i dont really know many commercials as im quite new to the freshwater fishing having been a sea angler for years. or a good sretch of river with day/night fishing tickets preferably with a good head of carp ,chub and barbel ect

also

how far are people willing to travel. i personally would travel any where and have a van if any one wants a lift with gear ect

cheers
